It is common practice to separate household waste under the kitchen sink and bring it to the municipal recycling stations where most household waste can be sorted and recycled. But there are many ways to look at recycling and reusing.
TWOOD (Textile Wood) is a new innovative material based on textile waste, made with a unique recycling technique from The Swedish School of Textiles at University of Borås. It creates a sustainable and aesthetic material, hard as wood. The shoe is a prototype to visualise the potential with the material, made in collaboration with innovator Lill O. Sjöberg and the designer Amma Lidström.
